s the leader and host of the APEC ( Asia - Pacific Economic Cooperation ) in 2013 , Indonesia will actively conduct various activities related to APEC . One of them is the main activity of APEC 2013 APEC Summit 21st 2013 that will be held in Bali on 5 to 7 October 2013.

In 2013 , which carried the theme of APEC Indonesia is " Resilient Asia Pacific , Engines of Global Growth" . Theme in order to meet the challenges of the world situation being under the influence of the world financial and economic crisis . Moreover , the theme is also to support the interests of Indonesia with discuss some important things , namely : Attaining the Bogor Goals ( realizing the Bogor Goals) , sustainable growth with Equity ( achieving sustainable and equitable growth ) , and Promoting connectivity (strengthening connectivity)
Bogor Goals goal itself is produced at APEC 1994 which at that time Indonesia became his host . " Bogor Goals" is the basis for free trade and investment in the Asia - Pacific region by 2010 for members and the Economy Forward 2020 Emerging Economy to members . To achieve the Bogor Goals , APEC cooperation bases built on three pillars , namely : trade and investment liberalization , business facilitation , and economic and technical cooperation ( ECOTECH ) . 

As the leader and host APEC in 2013 , Indonesia will make this opportunity as a step to advance Indonesia's active role in promoting regional economic , encourage infrastructure investment , aid and ensure that international trade remains open for Indonesian exports , strengthen disaster preparedness , strengthening the role of SMEs and women in economic activity , as well as prioritizing marine issues in APEC . Not only that, this occasion is also used Indonesia as a powerful medium to promote tourism potential , regional and national cultures .
            Prior to the Summit 2013, scheduled to be there 44 meeting of the 26 sub - committees APEC fora and meetings between them. Indonesia will also be home to activity castings meetings Anti - Corruption and Transparency Working Group ( ACTWG ) , Policy Partnership on Food Security ( PPFS ) , and Counter - Terrorism Task Force ( CTTF ) which will take place during the year 2013 .
